Zoals het er op lijkt wordt de M2 geheel volgens hetzelfde concept opgezet als de 1M..., maar nu (als verwacht) op basis van de N55...

ENGINE

I also have some news about the M2 engine.

Again, the engine will be an N55 and it will produce 370 PS (DIN) (= 365 hp) and 465Nm torque (= 343 lb-ft). The engine will also feature an "over boost" of +35Nm (25 lb-ft), in the low to mid range rpms. This is similar to our beloved 1M.

Hij is wel bijna af als je het zo ziet, maar nog veel giswerk omtrent vermogen, onderstel en interieur...

Wordt toch lekker dik zo en beter in verhouding dan de standaard 2er, met name de achterkant.

Just went by the dealer to get my M2 configured. The sales guy asked me to confirm all the options and sign the papers.

I agreed with him to buy the dealer demo car (HEA car = Handler-Erst-Ausstattung). So my car needs to be on display at the dealer for one weekend for the official reveal and reception of the M2. I can drive it home Sunday evening.

He couldn't give me an exact date yet, but his BMW order screen stated the production is set for February 2016. Normally it takes about two to three weeks for a new car to get from Germany to Belgium. So I estimate somewhere around the beginning of March I will get my M2. I will check with him from time to time to see if the date changes. You'll be the first to know!
